Description:
This walk goes through the attractive Hodder’s Combe, Holford Combe and Frog Combe and visits the village of Holford along the way.

Parking:
This walk starts from the Wilmot’s Pool Car Park on the Quantock Hills. (Grid Ref: ST155381).
Walk Route:
Leaving the parking area head north west on a grassy track that joins a stony track heading west (Grid Ref: ST153383). After 400 metres at a crossing of tracks (Grid Ref: ST149384) turn right and head north along the ridge between Street Combe and Frog Combe to skirt the summit of Higher Hare Knapp and then descend to reach a crossing of paths at Lower Hare Knapp (Grid Ref: ST148399).
Turn left and follow the path downhill into trees, it then descends steeply into Somerton Combe to ford a stream (Grid Ref: ST143399). Turn right to head into Hodder’s Combe where the route fords another stream. Now follow the path besides the stream as it gradually descends through the combe for 1.6km to reach a minor road in Holford besides the Bowling Green (Grid Ref: ST154411).
Turn right and follow the road for 120 metres to a junction, turn right here and follow the road through the village to pass the Combe House Hotel. Continue on the road, which becomes a track and goes through a gate to enter Holford Combe. Follow the path besides the stream to a ford at a junction of combes (Grid Ref: ST155391).
Now head south east though Frog Combe the path gradually ascends besides the stream and then reaches open ground and heads south east to reach a junction of tracks (Grid Ref: ST153383). From here follow the grassy track heading east to return to the starting point in the Wilmot’s Pool car park.

There are no public toilets.
Toilets are available in the pub on this route during opening hours.
Refreshments:
Holford: The Coombe House Hotel Tea Room; a short diversion from the route in Holford will lead to the Plough Inn.
