Start Time: 10.30 (Start time is when the walk commences. Please arrive earlier to ensure you are ready for the start)
Walk description:
This 10 mile circular walk passes Trafalgar House and crosses the attractive River Avon before heading to Downton via Charlton All Saints. After passing through Downton the route heads to Barford Down where there are far reaching views.
During the walk we will talk about a range of topics including the history of Trafalgar House and the disused Salisbury and Dorset Junction Railway.
Walk Level: This is a moderate walk with some ascents and descents.
How long will it take? This walk will take approximately 4 to 5 hours. During the walk we will stop for a picnic lunch (not provided).
Group Size: Maximum 10 people (9 places remaining)
How much will it cost? £7.50 paid by cash or card on the day.

Toilets
There are public toilets in Downton.
Refreshments
You will need to bring you own food and drink. There is a Co-Op shop in Downton if you need to purchase food/drink.
Are dogs allowed? Dogs are only allowed by prior agreement and must be kept on a lead throughout the walk. Please add details of your dog in the comments section of the booking form and Fred will contact you.
Equipment
You will need suitable footwear and outdoor clothing (not denim jeans) and waterproofs.
You should also bring drinking water and lunch / snacks.
